The Little City

The mission of The Little City at South City Church is to partner with parents to produce biblically literate children who love and know God. We accomplish this by using Gospel centered Worship, Community and Missions in our class.

Our hope is that every child who leaves our children's program has an understanding of who God is, what e has done, and who we are and what we do because of that.

We teach these things through a mixture of lessons, music, games and crafts that are suitable for each child's age group.

Safety and Health

We require all our volunteers to be trained and screened and maintain strict teacher-to-child ratios to ensure safe care.

For health standards, children must be free from fever or symptoms of contagious disease for 24 hours.

Let us know of any allergies or medical conditions your child may have.

If you’re visiting for the first time, you will need to fill out a registration to receive a check-in tag and security stickers. The stickers serve two purposes:

Parent Paging – If we need you during service, the number on your sticker will be displayed in the Worship                                          Center.

Child Pick-up – You must present your portion of the sticker before we release your child.

Special Needs

If you have a child with special needs, we would love to partner with you in ministering to your child.

Please talk to a Little City worker for more information.

Family Resources

Scripture is clear that parents have been given the joy and responsibility of raising their children in the ways of Jesus.

We desire to partner with you as you disciple your children. We regularly post updates and resources on The City so that parents can be aware of and involved in what goes on in our classes.

City Kids/Minis (2 years-5th grade)

In our City Kids and City Minis classes we use The Gospel Project. This curriculum is a three-year, chronological study of the Bible from beginning to end. If a child is in our classes from 2 years-5th grade, they will have studied the entire Bible three times. Every unit in The Gospel Project has a memory verse, a Big Picture Question, and a Christ Connection that points back to Jesus. Children learn these things through scripture reading, discussion, music, and activities.

City Babies (Newborn-2 years old)

City Babies is our weekend ministry in which we care for and teach our littlest ones.

We worship the Lord through song and dance, have a small snack and hear teaching from Scripture.
