South City Staff

These serve the church with specific ministry leadership responsibilities.

  • Justin Malone


    Justin graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Education. He is now a Physical Education Teacher at Nan Gray Davis Elementary School and Baseball Coach at Hankins Middle School. Justin is married to Bayleigh, and together they have two children, Maisy and Anniston. Justin is a deacon at South City Church, and serves our congregation in any way that he can. He also helps run the media for Sunday Worship Gatherings. Justin has a heart for orphan care and equipping families through this very important ministry. He and Bayleigh have ha their own adoption journey together in their pursuit of Maisy.

  • Daniel Wattier


    Daniel is native to Mobile, and spent 6 years on the mission field in Uganda and Mexico. He has a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from the University of Mobile, and is passionate about marriage, family, and community. Daniel has served in different capacities of leadership since 2006, and is currently a Deacon and bass player for South City. Daniel and his wife Bethany have one son, Isaac Mark (2016).

  • April Nicholson

    Music Leadership

    April Nicholson is a native of Mobile. She graduated from Faith Academy before studying music and sociology at the University of Mobile. April is married to Lance, one of South City's Pastors. She is also the mother of 5 children: Elijah, Lydia, Judah, Titus, and Gideon. 

    April felt a clear call into ministry as a teen, and has served in different capacities of music ministry in the local church. She is passionate about leading the people of God to proclaim the truths of God through worship in music.

  • Hannah BReland

    City Kids Director

    Hannah is a native of Mobile and attended Mary G Montgomery high school and studied Childhood Education at The University of South Alabama. She and her husband Ben have been married since May of 2016. Hannah has worked with our City Kids since 2012, and one of her greatest joys is watching them learn and grow in Christ.
